Nobody can become a perfectly efficient person at their online degree or any other activity, and time scheduling is not a magic wand for this. Only a few people can keep a detailed schedule day after day over more than a month without mistakes. But online degree students tend to become impatient and frustrated when they can't cope with their schedule any longer. This method of organizing time has been helpful to many people doing an online degree and does not take much time:
Short Term Schedule
Make a specific schedule for your day, either before going to sleep or as you wake up. Write only what needs to be accomplished on the day.
Make a short list of main events and the amount of work to be allocated to each subject this week. This can of course include non-study activities. These events will change from week to week and it is therefore important to make a new list each week. Sunday night may be the most convenient time for the lists to be updated.
Long Term Schedule
Make a schedule of your fixed commitments only. These include only obligations you are required to meet every week.
